Sobre as experiências práticas do programa de desenvolvimento de atletas de longo prazo da natação húngara

Resumo

O sucesso da natação húngara é sustentado por um sistema de preparação e competição que se desenvolve há muitos anos, graças ao grupo profissional da federação desportiva e ao trabalho científico e prático dos profissionais da modalidade. Em nosso estudo, pretendemos apresentar as experiências dos últimos anos quanto à aplicação nacional do Programa de Desenvolvimento de Atletas de Longo Prazo (LTAD) para nadadores. Os nossos resultados indicam que existem várias discrepâncias entre a aplicação do modelo LTAD para nadadores húngaros e a teoria esperada. Acreditamos que o sucesso dos nadadores húngaros se deve em parte à manutenção dos princípios básicos do modelo LTAD e à comparação com os planos de preparação para natação de outras nações, trabalhando dentro de um sistema que inclui elementos únicos para garantir o sucesso deste pequeno país.
