Resumo

Tecidos inteligentes pertencem a essa categoria de têxteis que foram desenvolvidos com novas tecnologias para fornecer valor agregado ao usuário. A tecnologia de roupas inteligentes tornou-se parte integrante dos esportes profissionais modernos. A tecnologia dos "wearable" continua monitorando a carga no dia a dia dos jogadores para garantir que eles mantenham condições de pico e sem lesões para a competição. Os sensores biométricos podem fornecer as métricas para que os atletas se tornem parte integrante das ferramentas que avançam. Funcionários mais saudáveis significam menores custos com saúde e, por isso, novos aplicativos e dispositivos são para atividades como tênis, golfe e natação (Figura). Muitos desportistas procuram vantagem sobre o seu adversário usando têxteis de alta tecnologia apropriados. A integração têxtil de componentes de computação vestíveis, tornou possível o monitoramento inovador e abrangente na arena esportiva.
